The BioTrac system monitors microbial respiration and attached microbial cells to provide a real-time monitoring of microbial activity in various environments. The maintenance of water quality parameters within various industries is of critical importance, since microbial fouling of water, surfaces or products is a universal problem affecting industries, water purification or treatment facilities as well as food production/processing plants. The BioTrac systems enables the monitoring of the two most relevant microbial fouling parameters (metabolic activity and surface adhesion) through the implementation of various IoT sensors and controllers to accurately monitor microbial changes to fluctuations.
