Nolene Singh is responsible for the management and commercialisation of Stellenbosch University’s IP through patenting, licensing and the formation of spin-out companies. She plays a key role in the development of a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at the University and engages with students and researchers to help them develop their technology and ideas into commercially viable products and spin-out companies.
Nolene is a registered technology transfer professional with over five years’ experience in technology transfer and innovation. She is a director for LES SA and a director of the University’s spin-out company AxioVR. She also serves as a second director for the University’s spin-out company SharkSafe Barriers.
Nolene has an MTech in Biotechnology and, prior to joining Innovus, worked in the plant genetics industry for 12 years starting up and commercialising laboratories.
